2023 Pinot Gris
Our 2023 Pinot Gris from is once again sourced from Zillah Ranch in the Rattlesnake Hills area of the Yakima Valley. This site boasts moderate daily heat and cool nights, perfect for ripening this varietal slowly to build flavors and retain acidity. The resulting wine is brilliant pale gold colored and opens with notes of pear and honeysuckle. Compared to recent past vintages, the 2023 is slightly leaner, still brimming with mouthwatering flavors of ripe pear, nectarine, and Meyer lemon, and transitions into a long refreshing finish featuring hints of citrus zest, a light minerality and long-lingering pear notes. Enjoy this wine well chilled on a warm sunny day with your favorite charcuterie, salty cheeses, lightly salted nuts, or perhaps even heavier foods like a chicken breast with a reduced white-wine pan sauce, or Spaghetti Carbonara.
