WINE CLUB ONLY (Fall 2023 Release)
Merlot was one of the first varietals to put Washington State on the world wine map, and this vintage of our Merlot once again shows why it is still among the best our state has to offer. Medium purple in color, our 2019 Merlot opens with intense and inviting classical Merlot aromas: cherries, plums, and cocoa powder, joined seamlessly with barrel notes of vanilla, and cedar. Those same influences carry through to the palate where they are joined by juicy blueberries from the Malbec in the blend. Mouthwatering acidity and supple tannins suggest superb age-ability and lead to a long finish. Pair this medium-bodied and balanced Merlot with an herb-crusted rack of lamb, prosciutto, or your favorite strong and creamy cheese.
This inky purple blend of Petite Sirah and Syrah entices with aromas of black cherry, purple iris and light hints of vanilla. Mouthwatering flavors of dark cherry, sweet plums and dark chocolate are supported by a solid, even dense foundation of classic Red Mountain tannins. The long finish features lingering dark fruits, lightly tanned leather and black tea. Extra bottle age before release makes this wine accessible today with creamy blue cheese or your favorite braised meat with rich gravy. Or let it age and continue to evolve in the bottle for 2-6 years more.
66% Petite Sirah | 34% Syrah
Deep ruby in color, our 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with intense aromas of dark cherries and black currants, backed up by generous notes of cedar, rosemary, sage, thyme, and just a hint of vanilla. Mouthwatering flavors of tart black cherries and ripe blackberries explode onto the palate, where they are joined by pleasing hints of sweet plums and light bramble. Solid structure is balanced in the long finish by lingering notes of juicy dark fruits and hints of cocoa powder. Eminently enjoyable today, this wine will continue to evolve beautifully over the next 4-6 years.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2020 vintage of this classic Super-Tuscan style blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon shows a medium purple color in the glass. The nose opens with aromas of blistered cherry tomatoes, cherries, and hints of oregano. Mouthwatering flavors of tart cherry pie are joined by those same savory cherry tomatoes and black currants. The long finish features fine smooth tannins, darker fruits, and light overtones of cedar. This wonderful Washington State Sangiovese blend will pair beautifully with red-sauced pizza or pasta, or with hearty charcuterie. Salute!
89% Sangiovese | 11% Cabernet Sauvignon
Brilliant pale yellow in color, our 2021 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs opens with delicate aromas of white peaches, pears, and brioche. Fine bubbles and a generous mousse highlight flavors of the same, along with green apples and citrus. The mouth-watering finish features hints of lime zest and a touch of crisp minerality. Pair this delightfully dry sparkling wine with raw oysters, fresh-picked crab, or nutty parmesan or asiago cheese.
100% Chardonnay
As has become the custom, our full-bodied and balanced 2023 Chardonnay combines the best of both oak and stainless-steel winemaking techniques. Fresh and lively, opening notes of honeysuckle, orange blossom, tropical fruits, and light vanilla crème Brulé dominate. The mouthwatering full body and flavors of granny smith apple join the party, leading to an overall impression on the palate of fresh apple tart. The long finish brings out toasted pastry notes, culminating in light minerality. Pair this food-friendly Chardonnay with your favorite quiche, sweet and savory ravioli fillings with cream sauce, or lightly curried chicken and coconut rice!
100% Chardonnay
Forbidden Rose is a rich, almost decadent blend of some of the finest grapes in Washington State. Slightly off-dry in style, aromas and flavor of ripe berries and melons dominate, with just enough acid to balance and provide a long, refreshing finish. Enjoy chilled with your favorite hard cheese and crackers, or just by itself on a warm summer evening with friends.
Once again in 2022, two different clones of Pinot Noir grapes from Pine Brake Vineyard north of Zillah give our Sparkling Rosé its characteristic pale cantaloupe color. This year the aromas include strawberry and ripe melons, with a hint of orange rind as the wine warms a bit in the glass. The fine mousse of bubbles created using the traditional champagne method carries the wonderfully balanced flavors of strawberries, pink grapefruit and crisp nectarines forward into the delicate finish, which closes with hints of minerality and citrus cream-sickle. Perfectly paired with a stone fruit or citrus dessert, this bubbly will also complement any delicate seafood. Cheers!
One of our more consistent blends from year to year, our 2023 Mélange Blanc opens with the now familiar combination of aromas and flavors of melons, pears, honeycomb, and hints of tea from the Roussann; stone fruits, white flowers, citrus and minerality from the Viognier; and classic apples and creamy mouthfeel from the Chardonnay. Crisp and agile on the palate, yet full-bodied from barrel fermenation, Mélange Blanc appeals directly to your inner "white wine lover” and is a luscious accompaniment to dishes as varied as Duck Breast, Dungeness crab dip, or grilled halibut.
57% Roussanne, 37% Viognier, 6% Chardonnay
This medium to dark purple colored wine opens with inviting aromas of strawberry compote and dark cherries, with hints of clove, dried fruits, and well-worn leather. Mouthwatering flavors of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, fig, vanilla bean and a bit of bramble are backed up by smooth, supple tannins and a finish of light tapenade and leather notes. Pair this classic Zinfandel with any medium-bodied dish or your favorite pizza. This, our third vintage of Zinfandel, is sure to join its predecessors as a guest favorite!
