2019 Malbec

More expressive and less rustic than many Malbecs, our inky purple 2019 vintage begins quietly (don’t swirl yet!) with hints of loam and cedar. Give it a good swirl in the glass and those impressions are joined by ripe wild blueberries, blackberries, and medium roast coffee. The round, smooth mouthfeel carries expansive flavors of sweet blueberries, plums, and cocoa powder from the start into the long finish, where they are joined by lingering notes of vanilla and lightly toasted hazelnuts. Well balanced from end to end, enjoy this wine by itself, with strong flavored cheeses, or with any classically prepared grilled fare.
